Would You Buy It Wednesday

Yeah it's Wednesday again! Not only is it 1/2 way through this week, it's Would You Buy It Wednesday over at Junker Newbie http://junkernewbie.blogspot.com/ I'm so glad Stephanie brainstormed this weekly linky... it gives me a reason to hit the auctions!

At last Wednesday's auction this item came up for bid.

I had no idea what it was, but those are sometimes the best items.  At $5.00 I walked away with it (and MANY more items!).

As I was walking away, I overheard one lady ask another lady what it was and she said it was a vintage magazine rack.  Huh... could it be?  I've done some looking online and haven't come across one, yet.

What do you think?

Would you buy it?

Would you use it as a magazine rack or as something else?

Thanks for stoppin' by!

It looks really cool but not sure I would buy it because I don't know what I would do with it. I bet you will figure out something!

Well...not sure what that is! I have to admit I probably would have bought it too, given that it is made out of wood. I am a real sucker for wooden treasures I can paint! :) I hope someone who knows what this great piece is makes a comment! :)

I love wood pieces so I probably would have bought this in hopes that I would be inspired in the future. I think it would be a great magazine rack.

I love old wood pieces too. I definitely would have bought it. That old wood is just too cool to pass up. I buy a lot of things that I'm not quite sure what they will become so this piece would fit right in!

I would definitely buy it...I love old wood & never ever paint it. The grain & patina just says too much to me to cover it up! Maybe a hazard of being married to a carpenter for 37 years! :o} *e*

Does it only open up that far or does it open up enough you could make it a shelf on the wall??
