Glitter Glamor, Birdy Style

Bright sunshiny "Hello!"

I've seen lots of people use the Dollar Tree birds, (of course I can't find a pix of the one I used!!!) and I didn't want to completely copy their ideas, so I came up with my own version of the Dollar Tree bird.

I grabbed Glitter, my new best friend, it makes everything seem to pop, and I guess after a LONG Iowa winter, I like to see things bright and sparkly!

AND the rest my supplies (sorry, no pix of the process, I was sticky and glittery)

see the rocks...

And with a little spray adhesive, glitter, rocks from the yard, spanish moss, and two married pieces of junk, I have "Spring!"

I'm linked up with Becky at Beyond The Picket Fence!

I love the Glitter it looks so cute! It's amazing how that little $1 store bird can make so many different cute things. Eggs look good to. Might have to try that idea on another one of my birds. Blessings, Vicky

Just found you beautiful blog (the name grabbed me!) and have much more to explore but had to stop and write... This is an awesome idea - I LOVE glittery things and rusty things and chippy things... Yup, I'm a magpie! ;-) Found your post about your dear Grandfather and was moved. Am just starting my blog and haven't yet gotten organized or famiiar enough w/linky parties to post some of my projects, but you inspire me. Thanks and good luck with the bank/new antique store!
hugs,
